    Testimonials

Our home had water in the basement and problems with cracking sheet rock. We had multiple foundation contractors give us bids in repairing and fixing our foundation. All wanting to go with push piers. Absolute foundation repair suggested soil sampling before moving forward. So glad we had the sampling done. It showed we had heaving soil’s and push peers wasn’t the solution. This saved us thousands of dollars as we were able to fix our home on our own. Dusty helped us by loaning us needed equipment to make some of the repairs. We appreciated his honesty and finding the best way to repair our home.

What a remarkable company! The professionals at Absolute Foundation Repair were able to diagnose not only the problem with my foundation but also problems with both my plumbing and HVAC systems (problems three different plumbers mis-diagnosed). These gentlemen really know their stuff! They were prompt, efficient, courteous, thorough, and honest. I wouldn’t dream of hiring a different team of foundation specialists. I immediately put them on my list of go-to repair professionals, and you should too!

We have a beautiful new home that has had some settling issues. Dusty, Dace, and Josh have helped us through this process, one step at a time. They were willing to drive a pier to give us an idea of how far down bedrock was. This helped us know we were on target with approximate depths. Dusty talked with us about options and helped us stay within our budget. Josh and Dace were considerate during the time our family was home. They kept spaces clean and worked hard. I would definitely recommend absolute foundation repair!

Absolute helped us with a 7 inch lift and stabilization on a home with a full basement. We had a wet winter and spring. They were able to be resourceful and continue working throughout the bad weather. This home had settled because of bad drainage. They were able to come up with a plan to excavate and re-design the landscaping so water will no longer end up around the house.

    EZ Executive | March-April 2019

Absolute foundation repair has helped us with three unique projects. Each with specific challenges. The first home they helped us with was in bad shape. It required a 9 inch lift and had lots of interior damage. They did the lift and brought the house back to where it needed to be. They also did a massive excavation to help with surface drainage and slope Stabilization. Happy we were able to work with absolute to save this beautiful home.

Originally we hired another foundation contractor, only to find out the warranty they offered wasn’t any good. Absolute helped us lift a home after dealing with a difficult situation. They help us stay in our original budget and reasonable timeline. They always finish the last detail as new concrete is poured and finished after piers are placed and the home is lifted.

    Basement Waterproofing Salt Lake City

    Why Basement Waterproofing is Essential

Water is a severe problem that can affect your basement and, therefore, the rest of your house in serious and sometimes dangerous ways. Thankfully, the best basement waterproofing in Salt Lake City, Utah can help you out. This process is designed to handle a large number of problems and is something that we at Absolute Foundation can handle very quickly and with minimal fuss.

    Stops Basement Flooding

The most apparent benefit of basement waterproofing is the ways that it keeps your home from getting flooded. That’s because these systems focus on the problems that cause various flooding problems and manage them before they become an issue. The most obvious way that they provide this benefit is to seal up the cracks in the foundation to ensure that water – which often comes through these cracks during the thaw of winter – from flooding a basement.

Just as importantly, this system also installs sump pumps in a basement to get rid of water as it pools in a cellar. Usually, this method is considered the best way to address common flooding problems by ensuring that all water is removed. However, proper drainage systems outside of a home also help here by taking away excess water to ensure that a basement is adequately protected from water, mold, and other health problems.

    Reduces Insurance Prices

Did you know that around one-fifth of all homeowner’s insurance claims are caused by water damage during floods in a basement? This problem is one that can cause a myriad of issues with your policies. For example, you may find that your prices go up when you make a claim and stay at a higher level. Or you may find that you have higher homeowner’s insurance premiums if you live in an area that experiences a lot of flooding every year.

Thankfully, waterproofing can help. It will not only help you prevent the kind of flooding that causes severe water damage in the first place but also lowers your premiums. How? Insurance providers will typically give people discounts if they take the time to add extra protective elements to their homes. As a result, you may want to not only install a waterproofing system in your home but report it to your insurance company to get the most benefits possible.

    Decreasing Your HVAC Costs

Another massive benefit of basement waterproofing is the way that it reduces your HVAC costs. That’s because a basement is often a portal to high humidity throughout your house. This extra humidity will cause your system to work more heavily because it can affect the temperature of your home by increasing it or even decreasing it in certain situations. As a result, you need to waterproof your basement.

This process is more beneficial than you may think. For example, it is estimated that waterproofing may help to save you around 10-15 percent on your heating and cooling bills every year. If your bills are approximately $2,000 or so every year, that would be a saving of $100-150. That amount of savings is considerable over the life of your home and makes waterproofing more than worth it, notably, since it offers so many other benefits beyond more efficiency.

    Healthier Home Environment

A home with a high level of humidity or moisture can be a real problem for many homeowners. That’s because these houses often have a higher content of mold or mildew throughout. These growths are not only ugly and destructive to your home but very unhealthy. Some may cause breathing troubles and allergic reactions – others are even considered toxic and dangerous to your overall health in ways that go beyond allergies or other breathing problems.

Thankfully, a waterproofed basement is nowhere near as prone to these problems as one that is not. That’s because it helps to keep your home’s moisture level at reasonable levels and avoids complications in a myriad of ways. By eliminating moisture, you help to keep your mold levels consistent, decrease the amount of mildew that your home experiences, and provide your family and yourself with the protection that they need to stay healthy.

    Avoid Sump Pump Damage

When you install a sump pump in your basement, you should only have to use it when necessary. Unfortunately, people who do not get basement waterproofing in their homes are likely to find that their sump pump runs more often than they would like it to run. As a result, it is more likely to experience a myriad of damage problems, each of which can cause more serious issues with how a pump operates over an extended period of time.

Thankfully, waterproofing helps by minimizing the water that a sump pump has to eliminate. By allowing the sump pump to only run when it is needed, homeowners like you can ensure that this system is in great shape for years to come and prevents the kind of severe damage that can require a complete replacement of your sump pump. So don’t hesitate to get this process done as soon as possible to keep your home safe.

    Stops Problems With a Home

As water flows throughout your home during any flood, it is likely to experience a lot of severe damage. For example, water seeping through your foundation will expand its cracks and cause it to experience a higher level of damage. This problem can cause your floors and walls to buckle and may cause cracks throughout a home that can be very problematic to manage.

Thankfully, waterproofing prevents this problem by protecting the cracks, the joints, and the edges of your basement walls from problematic damage. So make sure to contact a professional to get your home protected. And don’t hesitate to restore your walls to ensure that they are as secure as possible and to keep extra damage from developing unexpectedly throughout your home’s structure.

    Help is Available

As you can see, the best basement waterproofing in Salt Lake City, Utah can provide benefits that go beyond merely keeping your home drier. In many ways, this technique is an essential way of keeping your family healthy and protecting your home at the same time. So if you are interested in waterproofing and aren’t sure where to start, contact us at Absolute Foundation Repair right away. We will take steps to ensure that your home is as water-free as possible for years to come.
